The Florida Panthers have officially come to terms of a one-year, two-way deal with 23-year-old defenseman MacKenzie Weegar. The team confirmed the news on its official Twitter account:
The 6-foot blueliner spent most of the last three years in the AHL. He played three games with the Panthers last season, in which he recorded four penalty minutes. He was selected in the seventh round, 206th overall, of the 2013 NHL draft.
