With Jarome Iginla still not having a contract come the start of National Hockey League training camps, there was serious concern that he would not find an NHL contract, but his agent may have just dispelled that.
According to a report from the Toronto Sun, Iginla's agent Don Meehan has confirmed that Iginla has received multiple offers to play, however according to Meehan the future hall-of-fame forward is currently being very picky about where he will sign.
“I think after his lengthy career he can afford to be very selective,” Meehan said as per Michael Traikos. “It’s having the independence to choose where you want to be and look for a perfect situation for yourself.”
Meehan did not comment on what teams may currently be in the running for Iginla, but he did state that Iginla is looking for both a Stanley Cup contender and one that will allow him to have minutes on a consistent basis.
If you were hoping for at least one more season of Jarome Iginla it sounds like there's a good chance it will become a reality.
