Breaking: Leafs make surprising roster cut!
Is this the move you expected the Leafs to make?

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced their second to last round of training camp cuts this morning.
There aren't many surprises on this list, but one name sticks out. Miro Aaltonen was sent down after having an excellent training camp, garnering the praises of head coach Mike Babcock.
This means that veteran forward Dominic Moore likely won the favour of the coaching staff and will start the season as the team's fourth line center.
It's also interesting to see a name that isn't on this list.
Toronto's first round pick in 2017, Timothy Liljegren, remains with the team. He could certainly use more time developing in the minor ranks, and with the likes of Roman Polak, Calle Rosen, and Andreas Borgman competing for the bottom pairing position on defense, don't expect the kid to crack the lineup quite yet.
Don't be surprised if the likes of Aaltonen, Kasperi Kapanen, and Travis Dermott find their ways up to the big league at various points this season.
