Bruins linked to two veteran Dmen, including P.K. Subban
Subban in the black and gold would be absolutely wild!

According to a report from Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy, there's a chance that we may see defenseman P.K. Subban suit up for the Bruins... at least in training camp.
Subban, who was public enemy #1 in Boston during his time with the Montreal Canadiens, is still without a contract for the upcoming season and Murphy reports that both Subban and the NHL's all-time Ironman Keith Yandle could both receive professional tryout (PTO) contracts from the Bruins.
“I think both guys would be willing to sign PTO’s at this point,” a source says to Murphy in his latest column for Boston Hockey Now. “We’re getting really close to camp now and I know both guys want to pay this season. We’ve heard the Yandle to the Bruins rumors forever, and now it seems like maybe the time is just right to finally give it a try. I also know that Subban loves the tradition and atmosphere of Boston sports and the fans. I know Bruins fans hate him going back to his Canadiens days but man if he could come in and just be a solid depth guy, low expectations and buy in, that and his enthusiasm could be a fun fit.”
Yandle, of course, is a Boston native and there have been rumors that he'd like to return home at different junctures in his career. At 35 years old and with his best playing days now behind him, I'm not sure it makes much sense. Ditto for Subban. Love him or hate him, Subban was absolutely electrifying during the peak of his career but he has struggled to keep pace the past couple seasons with the New Jersey Devils and, frankly, he barely resembles the player he was with the Canadiens and Nashville Predators. Given the high risk game that both of these guys play on the back end, I'm not so sure that they make sense in a depth role either. Are Yandle and Subban the guys you want on your bottom pairing mentoring in young players? No, they're the type of guys you want playing meaningful minutes and putting up points on the powerplay... when of course they're firing on all cylinders. But, they haven't been firing on all cylinders in at least two seasons now... maybe a tune up could change this? My sense is that there are just too many miles on these old beaters though...
