A spotlight has landed in Vancouver especially with how poorly the Canucks have been playing, crushed under losses and the troubling reality that they are out of playoff contention.

There are also many rumours linking many Canucks’ players, including captain Bo Horvat, forward Brock Boeser and defenseman Tyler Myers, to different contenders on the trade market ahead of the March 3rd deadline.

Add to the drama the recent altercation between forward JT Miller and goalie Collin Delia to the mix, things have taken a nasty turn.

This prompted Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman to share to host Jeff Marek how the “Canucks dressing room is shellshocked” with many stories piling on top of one another.

Friedman explained what things are looking like in Vancouver, it just sounds bad.

“Those players know there’s a lot of people going and the team won’t be the same…I think these players just want it to end. I saw a team that last night that was like just let us know where we’re going.”

The team’s recent struggles even have the fanbase dreaming about Vancouver’s chances to land the first overall pick and acquiring young phenom Connor Bedard this summer.

However, something needs to be fixed in the dressing room and that might come with a change behind the bench or even in the head offices before the lottery comes around… The Canucks were so awful at the start of 2021-22 that their coach and general manager were fired. A fix is urgent, but does that come with the draft lottery?
