The Calgary Flames had a incredibly busy offseason, one that brought major changes to the organization's roster and one that quite frankly has many feeling like they are watching an entirely new team out on the ice.
While the Flames managed to shore up their roster thanks to the great moves on the part of general manager Brad Treliving, the team had somewhat more uncertainty when it came to their situation behind the bench. Taking the reigns of this relatively new roster would be Flames head coach Darryl Sutter, who up until today was set to enter the 2022-23 season in the final year of his current deal with the Flames.
It seems Brad Treliving's summer of hard work was not complete however with the Flames general manager pulling off yet another major offseason move when the Flames announced that Sutter had agreed to remain as head coach for several more years. The reigning Jack Adams Trophy winner has now signed a multi-year deal with the Flames, news that has been officially announced by the Flames organization.
The terms of this deal have not been disclosed.
