The Montreal Canadiens had an incredible run to the Eastern Conference Final but there's no doubt that many of their fans will be left feeling disappointed after what was a very one-sided series, one thoroughly dominated by the Carolina Hurricanes.

While there were without a doubt a wide number of factors that contributed to that outcome, including some big ones alluded to by Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour during his post-game comments, there have been early indications that injuries may have played a significant role in the lackluster performance from the Canadiens as well.

Some early leaks coming out of Montreal indicate that 4 of the Canadiens most important players were all dealing with a variety of injuries ranging from significant to rather severe.

Captain Nick Suzuki was reportedly playing with a tear in his thigh, something that would quite drastically impact a player's ability to skate especially at the level required in the National Hockey League.

Perhaps the most significant injury reported was the one suffered by Canadiens defenseman Noah Dobson, with Dobson's hand reportedly so damaged that he was unable to properly close that hand around his stick.

Canadiens first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky is reportedly dealing with a pair of significant injuries, one to his shoulder and another to his leg.

Canadiens star defenseman Lane Hutson was also reportedly dealing with an injury in this series, a damaged shoulder. That news will come as no surprise to anyone that has seen Hutson play in these Stanley Cup playoffs, with the talented Canadiens defenseman a constant target of big hits from opposing teams desperately trying to find a way to slow down the Canadiens' dynamic blue liner.

We likely won't know more about the severity of these injuries until the Canadiens end of season media availability, and that's only if the Canadiens choose to disclose that information.
