The San Jose Sharks did enough to get away with a win against the Senators on Thursday night. Which was important to Erik Karlsson, facing his former team in Ottawa.
However, the game was not over when he answered the questions of TSN’s Gord Miller during the intermission. Karlsson was asked about the point he recorded an assist in the second period on what turned out to be the game-winning goal. Miller asked the defenseman like it meant something to record a point against the team that traded him, but Karlsson maintained that the game was not over. Miller stuck on the point and Karlsson answered this gem:
“It doesn’t mean shit.”
