Evander Kane drops a bombshell in court today
Controversy just follows this guy around.

San Jose Sharks forward... err... San Jose Barracudas forward Evander Kane was in court today in the ongoing divorce case with his estranged wife Anna Kane, this time to discuss custody arrangements of their infant daughter.
According to Sharks insider A.J. Perez, Evander has been granted custodial parental-ship of their daughter, while his wife Anna undergoes psychological evaluation. In effect this means that Evander will have primary custody of his daughter at least until doctors can determine whether Anna is mentally healthy enough to care for her as well. It's worth noting that Anna made several serious allegations against Evander this past summer that ultimately could not be proven. Evander outright denied all Anna's claims and investigators had a difficult time getting Anna to participate in their investigation. To me, this all sounds like a case of a jilted ex-lover, but I digress...
As this story pertains to hockey and the Sharks though, Evander made some interesting comments to the court. In particular, Evander stated that he will report to the Sharks' AHL affiliate Barracudas but will not travel with the team, at least to Canada.
Check it out:
"I am not going to Canada (with the Barracuda). I will not be playing. I have a very unique plan with my team and my agent ."

Hmmm... what gives?
So, if you're like me and your mind went to Kane's vaccination status, well... he's fully vaccinated. So that can't be the issue. "You know what, I'm fully vaccinated and that's really all I have to say about it," Kane said earlier this week.
So again, what gives?
Clearly Kane's time with the Sharks organization is coming to a close, so I'd love to know what his "very unique plan" entails. If I'm Sharks GM Doug Wilson I'm taking the first offer I get for Kane on the trade market and I'm taking it to the bank. This is very clearly an "addition by subtraction" type of move and both the Sharks and Kane would be wise to move on from this entire fiasco as quickly and as amicably as possible.
