Evander Kane issues a statement after video emerges of him pointing a gun at his estranged wife
Just one controversy after another with this guy.

In case you missed it last night, the ongoing soap opera starring Evander Kane and his estranged wife Anna Kane just got even more dramatic.
You may recall that Anna accused Evander of all kinds of horrible things this past offseason from illegal gambling on his own team to forced sexual relations. Kane was ultimately exonerated of the gambling and assault allegations in a third party investigation but was surprisingly suspended 21 games for issuing a fake COVID-19 vaccination card to the San Jose Sharks in training camp.
The results of the Sharks' investigation proved that all of Anna's claims were unfounded.
It's also worth noting that Evander claims Anna faked a pregnancy for months in order to "trigger mental anguish" from Evander. Lawyers for Evander maintain that she wore a fake "pregnancy belly" in some strange effort to shame her husband over past abortions that he demanded she have.
Anna has been court ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation until she's allowed custodial access to her daughter. In the meantime, Evander has been granted custodial parental-ship and will have primary custody of his daughter at least until doctors can determine whether Anna is mentally healthy enough to care for her as well.
So... all of this is to say that Anna's... well, I don't want to use the word "crazy", but it's clear that she's unstable and she's going through a bit of a personal melt down these days. As evidenced by last night's now deleted video that she posted to Instagram.
In the video Evander appears to point a gun at his estranged wife as he walks away from her filming.
Check it out:
Almost immediately after this video was posted it was deleted but... as is always the case with the Internet, you can never completely erase something online. The damage had been done and Evander and his agent worked quickly to explain what happened in the video.
Check out this statement released by Kane late last night:
So, in essence Evander claims that this video was actually taken in 2020, while the couple was having a professional photoshoot taken at their home in San Jose. Presumably then, that's a fake gun that Evander is waving around. It's worth noting that Instagram enables you to add labels like the "Pointing a loaded gun at me" and "psycho path" seen in Anna's video after the fact.
Furthermore, Evander made some social media posts last night that address the video:
So... Evander states that this is a video from last year that's being used to defame him even more by a jilted ex-lover. And you know what? Anna's track record isn't exactly stellar and she has been court ordered to undergo therapy and evaluation so... I'm going to say that there's likely some truth to Evander's words this time around.
I'm not the biggest Evander Kane fan in the world, but man oh man has this woman made his controversial life even more controversial.
