Evander Kane praised for ludicrous milestone and fans rip him apart!

We’re not saying that Evander Kane hasn’t had an impact on the Edmonton Oilers. Since joining the team back in January, the controversial forward has tallied 16 goals and 29 points in 35 games, and piled on 52 penalty minutes on top of that.

As you saw last night, he got in a heated scrum with Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman, who flipped him off and got fined for it. Kane admitted after the game that he would have liked to get loose to get more into it with Hartman.

This prompted Bob Stauffer to serve fans with a weird stats about Kane, who is looking to get a contract next season, and maybe by that he means an extension to stay in Edmonton. This is what Stauffer offered as an argument:

“There is one player in the NHL who has scored 280+ goals in his career…and stepped up and fought Ryan Reaves and Zdeno Chara in the last few seasons…

Talks have pointed at the possibility of the Oilers and GM Ken Holland to let go of players like Jesse Puljujarvi and Kaimer Yamamoto to be able to afford Kane on an extension.

Fans have been impressed with some of Kane’s outings though they remain tentative about what he can bring to the Oilers, including his many off-ice issues.

Fans got angry at Stauffer’s ludicrous statistic and offered some good ones of their own, with one fans using the same approach to say that “only one player in the NHL who has paid for 3 adulteress abortions, had 2 assault allegations, waved a gun at a pregnant woman, been kicked off 3 NHL teams and referred to his car as the “G Wagon” in the last few seasons …..”
