The Toronto Maple Leafs have a giant question mark hanging above their heads as they head into Game 7 against the Boston Bruins later tonight, a question mark that comes in the form of Auston Matthews' status for Game 7.

Matthews has been held out of the lineup over the course of the last 7 periods of action, missing both Game 5 and Game 6 after being pulled from Game 4 prior to the start of the third period, and the Maple Leafs did their best to play mind games with the Bruins on Saturday in regards to Matthews' status for Game 7.

Although we likely won't know what is going on officially until the Maple Leafs hit the ice for warm ups just before puck drop later tonight, a former player in the National Hockey League believes he's got the inside scoop on this story. The latest update on Matthews comes from none other than Paul 'Biznasty' Bissonnette and according to the former NHL forward it does sound like Matthews will play later tonight.

"Hearing rumblings the CORE FOUR will be assembling tonight," said Bissonette on Saturday.

To be clear this is an unofficial report from Bissonnette and the former NHL player did not cite his sources for this information, but there's no denying the fact that he is incredibly well connected when it comes to the hockey community.

Only time will tell if Bissonnette's sources are right.
