The Las Vegas Golden Knights may have their captain back.
Although there has been no official announcement from the Golden Knights as of yet, Sin Bin Vegas is now reporting that Stone has been spotted participating in line rushes with his teammates, a sign that he is expected to play this evening.
This would be a huge boost to a Golden Knights lineup that has been hit hard by injuries early in the season. Stone has been absent from the lineup since October 15th, when he left the second period of a game against the Los Angeles Kings with what appeared to be a non-contact injury. That injury would keep Stone out of the lineup entirely, although it would now appear as though he has finally recovered and will be ready to step into the lineup for just his 3rd game of this regular season.
Stone had a great regular season debut against the National Hockey League's newest team, the Seattle Kraken, picking up 3 points in the game, all assists. That hot start to the season was short lived however, but Stone will look to get right back into the groove of things this evening.
Update: The Golden Knights are not officially announcing Stone's return, instead calling him a game time decision. Head coach Peter DeBoer has indicated that the call will be made closer to tonight's game against the Vancouver Canucks, but it does look good as far as a return for Stone is concerned.
