Hurricanes absolutely destroy Habs with new website after 4-1 victory
Aho and Kotkaniemi scoring in a game to put the Habs 0-5 is harsh enough, but this takes it to a whole new level.

In case you missed it this evening, the Carolina Hurricanes absolutely waxed the Montreal Canadiens 4-1 this evening in the teams' first game since the offseason shenanigans between the two clubs. I'm talking, of course, about the $6.1 million offer sheet (with $20 signing bonus) the Hurricanes used to lure Jesperi Kotkaniemi away from the Habs in retaliation for the failed offer sheet that the Habs tried on Sebastian Aho in 2019.
So... how did Kotkaniemi and Aho play tonight, you ask?
Pretty, pretty, pretty damn good.
Both players potted a goal en route to an easy 'Canes win and... well Habs insider Arpon Basu says it best:

As funny as that may be, the 'Canes are really playing with fire here. When you stick your neck out in such an immature fashion it has a way of coming back to bite you in the ass. In the moment though... it's pretty damn funny. Whether you like it or not, you have to admit that the 'Canes' social media team is awfully creative.
