Kane eyes team for trade but there’s no way it wants him on its roster!
Oh come on, Evander, be realistic!

Evander Kane is awaiting to see where his NHL career goes next. While the San Jose Sharks and his agent are looking at what is the next step, he has been assigned Sharks’ minor league affiliate, the AHL’s Barracuda.
Kane was suspended for 21 games over a violation of the NHL’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol, reportedly due to his use of a fake vaccine card and when he was eligible to return, the Sharks waived him in order to send him down to the minors.
When meeting with reporters following his first practice with the Barracuda, Kane acted positive, hopeful for the future. However, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman revealed in his latest 32 Thoughts column that Kane might want a trade where it sounds impossible to get moved.
Kane has a limited no-trade clause in his current contract, signed through the 2024-25 season with a $7 million cap hit. The controversial player is reportedly hoping to return to the Winnipeg Jets - here is how Friedman puts it:
“A reminder that Kane has a three-team trade list, and, like many players, he manipulates it so that it’s hard to move him. For example, I believe one of the teams on his list is Winnipeg, and we know that’s not happening.”
Kane played for the Jets when they got to Winnipeg with the move of the Atlanta Thrashers in 2011. It was a rocky tenure for the 4 seasons he was there before he was traded to the Buffalo Sabres.
We cannot imagine the Jets would want him back - especially with all the drama taking place over the summer with Kane, his vaccination scheme and gambling issues…
So strange that he is so clueless and thinking he could go back there!
