The Montreal Canadiens are in Seattle to face the Kraken for the first time, however, a little bit of history came to haunt the Habs on Tuesday night.
Ahead of puck drop, the Kraken unveiled their Stanley Cup banner won by the Seattle Metropolitans of the PCHA.
While their home-opener took place over the weekend, the Kraken waited to face the opponents they beat back in 1917 to celebrate this moment in front of their fans.
Talk about a way of getting into the rival team’s head! It clearly got to the Habs as they let Jordan Eberle score just over a minute into the first period.
Celebrating every win, even if it's 104 years later!
