Landeskog suspended for dirty hit on Kirby Dach
The first suspension of the 2021-22 NHL regular season.
HockeyFeed
This just in, NHL Player Safety has suspended Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog two games for his hit on Chicago Blackhawks forward Kirby Dach from last night's game.
And here is the hit in question:
That's obviously a very dangerous and very predatory hit by Landeskog and, frankly, I'm surprised he didn't get a three to five game suspension. He does, of course, have some prior history with NHL Player Safety, as well.
In any case, Dach finished the game and didn't see too worse for wear. Hopefully this is a case of "all's well that ends well". No damage done, Landeskog sits for a couple games and "feels shame" as diehard Slap Shot fans say.
