The Toronto Maple Leafs got away with a 7-3 victory over the visiting Washington Capitals last night, however, it looks like the hate for opponent Tom Wilson got the best of some fans… Or maybe the fight that the Caps' forward won against Toronto's Kyle Clifford inspired them in a terrible way...
A video is now going viral as one Maple Leafs fan, proudly wearing the team’s jersey, jumped on another fan, punching him hard in the face and breaking his glasses in the process on the cement stairs of the stands.
As the two men were separated, the assailant kept saying that that man could not touch a woman like this, while a woman, possibly the victim of the initial assault, kept yelling for the man on the floor to leave, that he couldn’t act this way.
As the fan in the Leafs’ jersey keeps talking, he mentions how he is usually not a fighter, but could not allow that man to treat a woman the way he did. While the story does not say what happened to the woman, the one speaking in the video seems upset about what was done to her.
