Leon Draisaitl may have just sent the entire City of Edmonton into a panic.

Draisaitl was spotted in Germany on Sunday with reports indicating that Draisaitl is back in his home country to receive treatment from Dr. Muller-Wohlfahrt. Dr. Muller-Wohlfahrt is not only a world renowned sports doctor but he will also be familiar to fans of the National Hockey League as the doctor who treated Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Auston Matthews when he was injured last year.

Draisaitl is making the best of his time in Germany however and on Sunday he was spotted at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany taking in a soccer game. It was during his time there that Draisaitl would conduct an interview, in German, where he discussed his current injury and the timeline for his return to Edmonton. It was during that interview that Draisaitl would spark the panic, with comments that made it sound very much like the Oilers will need to go on a run in the playoffs before he can return.

"It will definitely take a few weeks. I hope we go far enough so I can help the team again," said Draisaitl as per Ben Heckner of Sky News.

You can see the segment in which Draisaitl made the comments just below:

The Oilers previously announced that Draisaitl would be out for the rest of the regular season after he suffered a lower body injury after receiving a hit courtesy of Nashville Predators forward Ozzy Wiesblatt earlier this week.

Losing Draisaitl for any length of time during the Stanley Cup playoffs would obviously be a huge blow to the Oilers chances.
