Louis Domingue’s postgame interview is as epic as his play in Game 1 overtimes
Can you imagine how Sidney Crosby will react to this?

Louis Domingue didn’t think the referees were serious. Maybe that’s why his postgame interview is so funny. He played hero for the Pittsburgh Penguins when he was called to take over Casey DeSmtith’s spot in between the pipes in the second overtime. Domingue then became the winning goalie in a Game 1 triple OT victory over the New York Rangers, 4-3.
Domingue faced a shot in the first few seconds. A shot right in the belly. Then faced 13 more in the final 10 minutes of the second OT period.
The funny thing about that first shot is that Domingue revealed in postgame that he had just eaten a meal in between the first and second overtime. That interview has now gone viral since it is just as epic as his play in Game 1 triple overtime win.
“Spicy pork and broccoli,” he said. “Not the best…”
Domingue’s agent Allan Walsh tweeted a picture sent by his client of the aforementioned meal.
After his play, you have to believe captain Sidney Crosby will want him to eat the same thing to get them the win. The superstar is unbelievably superstitions.
Maybe Domingue should have kept quiet, but we would not have this hilarious interview to celebrate this incredible Game 1 triple overtime victory.
According to NHL PR, Domingue was the first goalie in NHL history to enter the game in the second OT period or later.
We bet that spicy pork and broccoli is also a first in NHL history…
