The Toronto Maple Leafs have confirmed the worst when it comes to recently acquired forward Ryan O'Reilly.
On Monday morning, head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed that O'Reilly will be out for a significant length of time when he revealed that the forward suffered a broken finger against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.
As a result of the broken finger, O'Reilly will now be placed on long-term injured reserve as some of today's earlier moves had hinted at. There has been no timeline given by the Leafs for O'Reilly's return.
