The Toronto Maple Leafs might have already earned their first win of the season and are now posting a 2-1-1 record, they have yet to sell out of game at the Scotiabank arena.

Pundits and journalists have been pointing out that the Leafs aren’t able to sell all tickets to games ever since the 2021-22 season got underway. No one expected that it would be so hard to fill up the arena, especially now that Ontario has accepted full capacity in its building.

On Monday night, as the Maple Leafs hosted the New York Rangers, it was quickly pointed out that 18,098 fans were present at the rink, which is good, but not the sold-out crowds Toronto always got pre-pandemic.

Could it be that fans in Toronto are sick of cheering on a team for months only to get their hearts broken in the spring when the Maple Leafs cannot make it past the first round of the postseason?

Once again this past summer, the Maple Leafs, who were leading 3-1 over the Montreal Canadiens, lost in seven games to be ousted early on in the postseason.

This was another tough blow for the fanbase and you have to wonder now if they don’t want to spend their cash on tickets to cheer on a team that will only let them down…
