Mark Stone finally gets doctors’ verdict…
The Golden Knights captain sustained a strange injury last week...

Finally there are some good news for the Vegas Golden Knights on the injury front. According to Steve Carp of Vegas Hockey Now, head coach Peter DeBoer has revealed that star forward Mark Stone is somewhere between day-to-day and week-to-week and that the captain won’t require surgery for the lower-body injury he sustained on the team’s game against the Los Angeles on Thursday.
It was a scary sequence when Stone exited the game with what appeared to be a very painful lower-body injury. He unleashed what looked like a routine shot during the second period, but then skated toward the bench, it was clear something was wrong. He could put any weight on his legs and needed the help of teammates to get off the ice. He was then dragged down the tunnel with two trainers supporting him.
However, things are looking up as Stone met with doctors, who informed him the issue is “non-surgical,” which is reassuring for the Golden Knights, who are already without Max Pacioretty up front.
