With the 2020-21 season less than a month away, there are still very many players available on the free agent market, but finally one of them has found a team interested in taking him on for the campaign.
That’s Mikael Granlund : according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, he has signed a one-year deal, around $3.75M, returning with the Nashville Predators.
Granlund is just two seasons removed from scoring 67 points and did score 17 goals in 63 games with the Predators in 2019-20.
While their association did not benefit either parties then, it could be a good time to bring him back to Music City.
Here is now the list of remaining unrestricted free agents, who have yet to sign a new contract ahead of the 2020-21:
Mike Hoffman
Erik Haula
Carl Soderberg
Travis Hamonic
Sami Vatanen
Andreas Athanasiou
