More injuries up front for Oilers after brutal Zach Hyman update...
What is the lineup going to look like for Edmonton for tomorrow’s Game 5? Details below:
It was already obvious on Wednesday morning that Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch was going to have to shake up his lineup for Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars on Thumb evening after it was confirmed that forward Zach Hyman will miss the remainder of the postseason after undergoing surgery on his wrist today.
However, more changes will need to be made because it has been reported by Daily Face-Off that forward Connor Brown will miss a second consecutive game as he won’t suit up tomorrow night in Dallas.
The veteran forward sustained undisclosed injury in Sunday’s blowout 6-1 victory and miss Game 4.
He has five goals and three assists over 14 playoff games this spring after netting 13 goals and 30 points across 82 regular season games.
The Oilers hold a 3-1 series advantage over the Stars with Game 5 set to take place in Dallas tomorrow night.
The brutal news of losing Hyman for the remainder of the playoffs is quite the hit for Edmonton, while coach Knoblauch will be forced to shake up his lines to counter a desperate group of Stars who will do everything they can to stay alive in the Final.
