NHL Canadian teams in jeopardy of getting more games postponed
This just in, only two teams can breathe a sigh of relief:

The NHL is coming back from its long holiday break, thanks to COVID and its many outbreaks across the league, and Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman is already reported that some Canadian teams will see more games postponed in January.
The insider explains that “ some Canadian teams’ home games in early January will be postponed pending schedule shuffling. As expected, NHL wants to protect revenues as much as possible while there are crowd limits.”
He however mentioned that this situation is, for now, not expected to affect the home games of the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks. The Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets and especially the Montreal Canadiens are at risk.
On Monday, the NHL postponed three more games because of COVID-19 concerns, bringing the total to 70 this season.
The game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg on Wednesday and the home-and-home between the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday and Friday were the latest impacted by COVID-19.
Of the 70 games postponed, one has been made up (the Ottawa Senators defeated the New Jersey Devils 3-2 in the shootout Dec. 6 in a game initially scheduled for Nov. 16) and one has been rescheduled (the New York Rangers will host the New York Islanders on March 17 in a game initially scheduled for Nov. 28).
And now we feel that because of all this shuffling, the NHL will have to postpone more games north of the border…
