NHL names the first player fined for diving this season.
A dubious honor to be sure.

The National Hockey League has issued it's first diving fine of the season.
According to a report from Sportsnet senior reporter John Shannon the dubious honor of being the first, as well as the standard $2,000 fine, has been awarded to highly skilled Arizona Coyotes defenseman Oliver-Ekman Larsson.
Larsson was awarded the fine for embellishing during the third period of a game against the Nashville Predators on the 3rd of November. It's worth noting here that a fine is only issued for a second offense, which means this is the second incident of diving from Larsson this season. The NHL claims the first took place on October 25th in a game against the New Jersey Devils.
We believe this is the incident that earned Larsson the fine.
