Nikita Zadorov puts Luke Glendening in concussion protocol with dangerous hit
He wasn't penalized on the play, either.
Dallas Stars veteran forward Luke Glendening has been placed into concussion protocol after taking a dangerous hit to the head from Calgary's Nikita Zadorov.
The incident occurred at 3:57 of the 2nd period. Glendening was skating forward to retrieve a loose puck in front of the penalty box when he was leveled by Zadorov, who made contact directly with his chin on the hit:
Not surprisingly, Stars head coach Rick Bowness was incredulous that no penalty was called on the play, calling it a "head shot" during a commercial break interview.
The Stars have since announced that Glendening is "questionable" to return.
