Oilers call up 7 players from AHL ahead of round 2, including goaltender Stuart Skinner

While the Edmonton Oilers prepare for the second round playoff series against the Calgary Flames, the Oilers' AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors' season is over after bowing out of the playoffs following a Game 3 (best of 3 series) loss to the Flames' affiliate Stockton Heat.

So, while the Heat are moving on it's the Oilers who actually benefit the most from the defeat. The Oilers recalled seven Condors earlier today including standout goaltender Stuart Skinner.

It would take some pretty desperate situations for the Oilers to employ any of these guys in their full-time lineup, but it's the playoffs and it pays to have plenty of healthy bodies on hand.
