Oilers remove players from roster, cancel practice amidst potential outbreak

This just in, the Edmonton Oilers have cancelled today's scheduled practice amidst a potential COVID-19 outbreak. Additionally, the team has placed defenseman Cody Ceci in COVID-19 protocol and defenseman Duncan Keith on injury reserve (IR).

The Oilers' defense corps has been hit hard by injury the past while and this is not going to make matters any better. With #1 blueliner Darnell Nurse already on the shelf, things get much tougher with Ceci and Keith now both out of the lineup.

Thankfully, the team has a day off and don't play until tomorrow evening when they host the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins in Edmonton.
