We have some waiver activity to report on this Sunday with a pair of National Hockey League teams sending a player through the waiver process, those being the Dallas Stars and the Detroit Red Wings. Each team has placed a single player on waivers, albeit for different reasons, and as a result they will be at risk of being picked up by opposing teams.

The biggest name on the waiver wire today will be that of veteran goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic who has been sent to waivers by the Red Wings. Nedeljkovic has struggled in goal since leaving the Carolina Hurricanes and is currently in the midst of by far his worst season yet for the Detroit Red Wings. Nedeljkovic boasts an ugly 4.09 goals against average and a .880 save percentage this season, is in the bottom 10 goalies in the entire league in terms of goals saved above expected,  and he is likely headed to the American Hockey League to play for the Grand Rapids Griffins should he clear.

The Dallas Stars on the other hand are placing forward Nicholas Caamano on waivers, but this appears to be more of a formality than anything else. Caamano has spent the entire season so far on injured reserve after being forced to undergo back surgery during train camp, and it seems likely that this move by the Stars was a routine decision to assign him to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League now that he has been activated off of injured reserve.

Due to his injury Caamano has not played any games yet at the NHL or AHL level this season.
