Phil Kessel ups the ante to get traded ASAP!
This might get trade rumours going again…
HockeyFeed
We’ve know for too long how Phil Kessel wants out of Arizona and now trade rumours are expected to get louder as reporter Jimmy Murphy pointed out that the Coyotes’ forward is willing to waive no-trade clause for the right fit.
Working closely with the Boston Bruins, Murphy would like to see a reunion between the team that drafted Kessel fifth overall at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and the veteran player himself, though he comes clean that “there’s no telling from our sources that the Bruins are thinking of a reunion with the pending UFA.”
The issue is that Kessel comes at a high price with his $6.8 million cap hit, and the Bruins - and many other contenders - could only make it work if the Coyotes agree to retain some of his salary.
Murphy makes it clear that Kessel wants out and the Coyotes want to move him. And so with the veteran forward agreeing to waive his clause for the right fit, we could have a trade soon.
