You never like to a scary incident occur during a game, but that's what winded up happening tonight.

Things took a scary turn during Wednesday night’s Game 4 action between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Washington Capitals. Flyers' forward Scott Laughton had to be stretchered off the ice after getting shoved into the boards by Capitals' defenseman John Carlson.

Carlson bumps the winger and he is sent awkwardly careening into the end boards at high speed. It was a difficult scene to watch as Laughton is clearly in a lot of pain. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and is reportedly still conscious.

A fan made video from behind the glass really shows the impact at which Laughton smashed into the boards.

We hope he is okay after such a brutal collision.
