Referees miss blatant penalty against Tampa Bay in Game 2
How could they miss this?!

The Tampa Bay Lightning finally got on the board in the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, in Game 2, as defenseman Victor Hedman gave his team the first lead of the series in the first period on Wednesday.
And while his shot was impressive, the work of the officials wasn’t. Again, the referees missed an important penalty, which would have given Toronto a power-play in the first 20 minutes.
As you can see on the picture below, there are clearly six Lightning players on the ice. But no too-many men penalty...
This is unacceptable. The Bolts did not end up scoring on that play, but who knows if the Leafs would have managed to get on the board early in the game and gain momentum?
NHL referees have been under a lot of fire this season, and it has kept going in the playoffs as many got on the case of Chris Lee last night in Game 1 between the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins.
It seems like some important calls are going all wrong and this is surely one of them.
Get it together, refs!
In the end, the Maple Leafs lost Game 2 5-3 to the Bolts as they couldn’t keep out of the box… maybe that was the issue all along.
The series is now tied at 1 with Game 3 coming up on Friday in Tampa.
