Worth taking a crack at?

According to a report from Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston, the Florida Panthers have released forward Brandon Pirri from his professional tryout (PTO) contract.
Pirri will now hit the open market as a free-agent and is free to sign with any NHL club. While he wasn’t able to earn a deal with the Panthers, there may still be some interest in him from other teams given that he’s just 26-years-old and has a history of filling the net.
While he managed just eight goals and 18 points in 60 games with the New York Rangers last season, he scored an incredible 22 goals in just 49 games with the Panthers in 2014-15. The kicker? He managed just two assists that season.
Think anyone will take a shot at the sniper? At the very least could he be an intriguing power play or shoot out option?
