Rumor: Hurricanes make a last minute change before Game 7.

Hurricanes rumored to be making a move.

The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face off against the Boston Bruins in what is a pivotal and deciding Game 7 in their opening round series of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

As one would expect in a situation such as this both teams will be pulling out all the stops as they look to continue their respective journey's towards earning hockey's equivalent of the holy grail, and that's why a rumored decision from Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour has raised a few eyebrows on Saturday.

According to multiple reports, it sounds like there is a real chance that 26 year old forward Steven Lorentz could make his series debut in the toughest scenario imaginable, a 7th and deciding game. Lorentz has been a healthy scratch for several games in this series but it would appear that perhaps one of his fellow forwards has been banged up or has fallen out of favor with the Hurricanes head coach.

Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe was the first to report the news that Lorentz could draw into the lineup this evening.

Hurricanes reporter Sara Civian is also reporting that Lorentz is a possibility to draw into the lineup for Game 7, although Civian would also add that she does not know who is going to be placed on the sidelines should that indeed be the case.

As for who will be coming out of the lineup, your guess is as good as mine. Brind'Amour has given absolutely no indication regarding who he might sit, and I expect that will be the case right up until the players hit the ice for warm ups in just a short while.
