Russia forfeits today’s game against Slovakia in 3rd cancelled games at WJC

Earlier on Wednesday, Team Czechia was forced to forfeit today’s game against Finland in the preliminary round of the World Juniors due to a mandated team quarantine.

And now a third game has been forfeited at the World Juniors.

It has now been confirmed that Team Russia forfeits tonight’s game against Slovakia after a player on the roster tested positive.

Tuesday’s contest between Team USA and Switzerland was cancelled after COVID-19 issues within Team USA. Switzerland won by a 1-0 forfeiture.

We are now up to three games affected by protocols in this tournament.
