Ryan Hartman reaches insane amount of money thanks to fans’ donations following controversial fine
And thanks to the hate for Evanader Kane!
HockeyFeed
In case you missed it earlier this week, Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman earned himself a $4,250 fine for making an “obscene gesture” at Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane. That gesture, of course, was simply a big middle finger as a linesman dragged him away to the penalty box.
Following the announcement of Hartman’s fine literally hundreds of Wild fans took to currency sharing application Venmo to chip in a few bucks for his fine… On Thursday, the total amount was coming close to over $6,000, and Hartman announced that he’ll pay the fine himself and will donate any cash he receive to the Minnesota Children’s Hospital.
On Friday, Hartman was shocked:
“We just hit $20,000 with still time left… I’ll be donating an additional 4,250 myself bringing total just shy of $25,000. Let’s keep them coming for Minnesota Children’s Hospital.”
The deadline is tonight at 7CT.
Classy move! The only thing that could make this better is if/when Kane gets his comeuppance the next time the Wild and Oilers face off.
Oh shouldn’t Kane contribute? Hahahahaha!
