The Toronto Maple Leafs are not having a good night.

On Saturday night the Maple Leafs faced off against Atlantic Division rivals the Boston Bruins and things turned bad fairly early for the Maple Leafs with goaltender Anthony Stolarz pulled from the game after just 25 minutes.

Your starting goaltender having a bad night is one thing, but a player being injured is another matter entirely.

Things turned really bad for the Maple Leafs later in the second period when Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov flattened Maple Leafs forward Scott Laughton with a massive hit along the boards. Laughton had just scooped up the puck and didn't have time to turn his head up ice before the massive Zadorov plowed through Laughton and sent him crashing hard to the ice.

The hit didn't just knock Laughton down to the ice but appeared to knock him out of the game entirely with the veteran forward going back to the Maple Leafs locker room immediately after absorbing the impact.

Laughton was of course only playing in just his second game back since a significant injury that had kept him out of the lineup for all but 1 game this season.

No official update yet from the Maple Leafs, but this doesn't look good for the Maple Leafs.
