The Toronto Maple Leafs are packing up their lockers and heading home for the offseason today following a tough Game 7 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The offseason officially begins for the Leafs today and several prominent members of the roster met with reporters for season ending media availability for one last soundbite and one last quote before leaving the arena. For Leafs veteran Jason Spezza it may have been his last media availability. It sounds like the 38 year old forward is considering retirement and admitted to feeling "a little lost."
He did say that he won't play for any other team than the Leafs, but he's unsure whether the team would even want him back.
Spezza, who will suit up for his 20th season in the NHL if he does indeed return, put up 12 goals and 25 points in 71 games with the Leafs this past season, the lowest total since his rookie season back in 2002-03.
