Stars and Flames both missing a player in Game 7.

Both teams will be down a man.

The Dallas Stars and the Calgary Flames are just moments away from playing the 7th and final game of their opening round series in the Stanley Cup playoffs, but both teams will be coming into this contest at less than 100%.

Matthew DeFranks of the Dallas Morning News is reporting that Luke Glendening is absent from warm ups for the Dallas Stars, no real surprise given that he took a huge hit courtesy of Flames defenseman Nikita Zadorov in Game 6 of this series. Nonetheless that is less than ideal for the Stars who will be without their full complement of regulars for tonight's game.

Perhaps the Stars can take some solace in the fact that the Flames will also be without a player of their own, with Flames reporter Hailey Salvian reporting that Chris Tanev is absent from warm ups for the Flames. Like Glendening, Tanev has been battling through injury but it would appear he was unable to get healthy enough for Game 7. Considering this is the most important game of the season, I'm sure Tanev is extremely disappointed especially considering he didn't miss a single game all year.
