Steven Stamkos late scratch in game for amazing reason

The Tampa Bay Lightning is facing off against the Blues in St. Louis, and will be without captain Steven Stamkos.

The superstar was a late scratch on Tuesday, which at first got fans worried, the team however revealed why it’ll be without Stammer and it is fantastic news.

He had to return home for the birth of his child.

Stamkos and his wife Sandra Porzio are already parents to young Carter who celebrated his father’s two Stanley Cup championships in the past seasons.

Another member gets added to the family and it’s a great reason to miss a game in the NHL calendar.
