Throwback: Gino Odjick takes on the entire St. Louis Blues roster.

On Sunday, the hockey community was rocked by the news that former National Hockey League enforcer Gino Odjick had passed away at the young age of 52. The news came as a shock not only because of Odjick's relatively young age, but also due to the fact that he was a beloved figure in the sport during his time as an NHL enforcer.

There are countless moments that would result in Odjick becoming a fan favorite around the league but perhaps one of the most memorable was a confrontation with the St. Louis Blues in May of 1995. The date was May 17th and the Vancouver Canucks were taking on the St. Louis Blues, when Blues forward Glenn Anderson had a great chance to score only to have the door shut by Canucks goaltender Kay Whitmore.

Although the play should have stopped there, Anderson would continue to poke at the puck under Whitmore and in the process would draw the ire of Odjick. Odjick wasn't just angry at Anderson however and instead unleashed the full force of his fury on all of the St. Louis Blues players who were on the ice, none of whom appeared to want any part of what was admittedly a very scary Gino Odjick.

The chaos would go on for several long seconds and Odjick would even get his hands on Anderson eventually after losing most of his equipment in the subsequent melee. He even managed to hammer Anderson with some punishing shots to the body, making him pay a heavy price for poking at Whitmore.
