Tom Brady challenges LeBron James to a shootout, Roberto Luongo offers to play net

You want casual sports fans to give a damn about the NHL? Get Tom Brady and LeBron James involved.

And if Brady gets his way, we may get just that.

Yesterday evening when James asked fans on social media to hit him up with Q&A questions and Brady took the opportunity to challenge King James to an 5 round "ice hockey shootout".

And even better, retired NHL goalie Roberto Luongo has offered to strap on the pads one last time to be the event's goaltender:

No offense to Brady and James, two elite athletes at their game, but there's no way they can sneak a puck past Luongo even if Luongo played in nothing but his swim trunks. Luongo may not be an NHL goalie anymore, but he's one of the best goalies of his generation and was a perennial Vezina contender. 

Having said all that... I'd LOVE to see this event! Make it happen, boys!
