Vegas get Mark Stone back in the lineup... kinda
Coach Peter DeBoer with the latest on his captain.
HockeyFeed
Vegas Golden Knights head coach Peter DeBoer has confirmed that captain Mark Stone will be game-time decision for tonight's contest against the Vancouver Canucks.
Stone hasn't played since early February due to a back injury and was placed on long-term injury reserve in order for the team to clear salary cap space for Jack Eichel's insertion into the lineup. If indeed Stone does play tonight, the Golden Knights will have to do some cap clearing as they have just $5 million in space to accommodate Stone's $9.5 million salary. Look for Evgeni Dadonov (remember him?) and his $5 million contract to receive a demotion.
Stay tuned.
