The Vegas Golden Knights have been in full scramble mode this offseason after it was announced that starting goaltender Robin Lehner is expected to miss the entire upcoming season with an ongoing hip injury.

GM Kelly McCrimmon scrambled to acquire a goalie, nabbing Adin Hill from the San Jose Sharks via trade, but there's a considerable drop off from Lehner to Hill in terms of skilly. Back up netminder Laurent Broissoit was expected to be ready early this season, but now new coach Bruce Cassidy isn't so sure.  

When asked yesterday about Brossoit's timeline for return, Cassidy admitted that the goalie may not be as ready as the team would have hoped.

"He’s healing well from his surgery, again a guy that is highly motivated to get out there," Cassidy said to reporter Vince Sapienza. "Whether he joins us at the end of the year or two or three weeks in, we’ll see him." 

Um.... at the end of the year? That doesn't sound promising...

This is a team that went from boasting Marc Andre Fleury and Robin Lehner between the pipes to a team that now has to rely on Adin Hill and Logan Thompson. Ouch...
