According to a report from Chantal Machabee of french-language RDS, Montreal Canadiens captain Shea Weber has rejoined the team in Seattle for their western road trip to "be with the boys."
From Machabee (in french):
Translation: "Shea Weber comes to join the team in Seattle for a few days just to be with the boys."
Weber, of course, is sitting out the entire season due to injury and Habs GM Marc Bergevin has gone on record saying that it's unlikely Weber ever plays again. The team has never confirmed exactly what Weber's injury is, but he obviously was well enough to play in the Stanley Cup Final this past Spring.
The Habs have had an awfully rough start to the 2021-22 campaign and are clearly missing Weber's steady influence dearly. The team is 1-5-0 to start the season and they're currently on a tough road trip that will see them play four games in six nights starting with tonight's game against the Seattle Kraken.
