In case you missed it last night, things got pretty spicy in Game 1 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning.
With the Leafs sitting on a commanding 5-0 lead midway through the 3rd period though, things went absolutely off the rails. Playoff hockey, baby!
Lightning defenseman Jan Rutta seemed to get the worst of things, getting absolutely sliced wide open by Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly.

I've said it once, I'll say it again... Playoff hockey, baby!
As a result of these shenanigans NHL Player Safety has fined Simmonds, Perry and Maroon for their involvement.
And if getting blown out 5-0 in the opening game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs wasn't bad enough for the Lightning, just imagine getting blown out and THEN having a 10 year old Leafs fan chirp you as you walk off the ice.

Love it! I'll say it once more... THAT'S PLAYOFF HOCKEY, BABY!
