It's another disappointing start of a season for the Colorado Avalanches who haven't made the playoff since Patrick Roy took over the Avs during the 2013-2014 campaign.

The Avalanches are currently tied for the title of the worst team in the NHL with the Arizona Coyotes, gathering a little 19 points in 21 games. Despite a coaching change, it's still the same old story for Joe Sakic's team; they're lacking a top-pair defenseman... maybe two. Ironically, they are dead last in the Goal-For department.

Colorado's lack of offense can be tracked down to their poor transition play. If Tyson Barrie is a great power-play weapon, he's struggling to win battle along the board and Erik Johnson isn't the top-pair defenseman we were told about. Where lies the solution?

Jim Matheson wrote in the Edmonton Journal that there was rumblings Colorado would trade their captain Gabriel Landeskog. Before you say "nonsense", think about Hall for Larsson. Again, according to Matheson, Landeskog could end up being traded for Cam Fowler of the Anaheim Ducks or Travis Hamonic of the New-York Islanders
