One of the top prospects in the Winnipeg Jets organization has just had a major setback.

The Windsor Spitfires have announced that 18-year-old defenseman Logan Stanley will be out for four months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. Stanley suffered the injury roughly a week ago and this latest update indicates that he will miss the remainder of the season and could in fact miss the Memorial Cup tournament.

Stanley was the Jets other first round pick in the 2016 draft, the first being 2nd overall pick Patrik Laine, and whenever one of your top prospects suffers an injury this serious it's always a cause for concern.  He was on pace to double his point production with the Spitfires this season, picking up 4 goals and 13 assists in 35 games and earning a plus minus rating of two over that stretch.
